LASER HAIR REMOVAL
At V.I. Laser Hair Removal clinic we use the Elite iQ for all of our laser therapy treatments, an outstanding product by Cynosure and one of their most advanced systems. Our Laser treatments can be offered in two wave lengths; the Alexandrite 755nm and the Nd:YAG 1064nm. This gives us the unique capability to treat all skin types and nearly all hair colours.
Laser hair removal has become one of the most effective ways to eliminate 80 to 95 percent of unwanted hair permanently. Our Elite iQ Laser system specifically targets pigments in the hair and hair follicle destroying them and preventing the hair from regrowing. With multiple treatments new hair growth is reduced until nearly all hair follicles in the area have been neutralized and are no longer able to produce hair. Best results are typically seen with 8 treatments.
Our Elite iQ Laser is one of the best hair removal systems available. We DO NOT USE AN IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) or Hybrid. IPL systems use a broad spectrum light pulse which can affect both hair and skin, this can result in pain and only short term hair removal. Continued hair growth will occur. Our Elite iQ Laser in contrast uses two specific bands of light; 755nm & 1064nm. These bands of light target the melanin found in hair follicles only. The laser destroys the active hair follicles resulting in a reduction of growing hair. With multiple treatments (we typically recommend 8 in total) 95% of the hair can be removed from the treated area. Results are permanent and the treatment can be painless though some clients with sensitive skin may feel slight discomfort.
